ABOUT

Rebecca Schriver

President & CEO

Rebecca Schriver learned many lessons about how to help people by sitting at their dinner tables and listening to their stories. As a licensed insurance agent, she was there to help people find the best Medicare solution for their needs.

But she soon learned that her clients had other questions. “When you sit with people in their homes, you become their confidant and advisor,” she says. “Clients started asking questions about long-term care and estate planning.”

She would refer them to outside resources, but that felt incomplete. “I’m constantly trying to help people find the answers they need. But I was no longer in control of the answers, so I couldn’t be sure they were getting the best solutions for their needs.”

When she discovered eStatePlan she saw a solution designed to help her take her clients from point A to Z. “And when we were done with their plan, I knew they would be taken care of,” she says.

Rebecca’s goal is not only to educate clients on what they think the need to prepare for the future, but also on what she learned—from an early age—that they, and their families, could truly need.

“I lost my dad at a young age,” Rebecca recalls. “He didn’t really have a plan. We had to figure it out ourselves from square one. I don’t ever want my clients or their families to go have to go through that same experience.”

Her goal is to deliver to her clients a plan with a clear pathway laid out. “I help people focus on the important things…their loss, their grief and their family, instead of all of the other logistics that would need to be taken care of otherwise.”

Rebecca is passionate about what she does because many people don’t realize how important it is to take the time to plan their estates. “I tell my clients when I sit down with them, ‘I’m going to be your mom, sister, daughter and best friend,’” she explains. “We are going to dig into the nitty gritty, so I want to know at the end of the day that I took care of you. It’s an honor for me to be able to say to your family, ‘Don’t worry, we took care of it.’”

Married for 15 years, she is the mother of four children, including one she lost at birth. This painful loss taught her that no one knows when tragedy could strike. “We don’t think about what would happen if we became incapacitated or had a heart attack or were diagnosed with

cancer,” she cautions. “Knowing what you would want to have happen after such an occurrence—and putting a plan in place—makes a big difference for you and your family.”

Born and raised in central Illinois before moving to Fayetteville to be closer to her husband’s family, Rebecca describes herself as responsible and rooted. She loves to hunt and fish and has taught dance and tumbling, but her primary interest is spending time with her family.

“I enjoy the challenge of helping clients,” she says. “I know at the end of the day that, while some people find it difficult to start this process, by the time we walk through the steps, they can sleep easy at night knowing they accomplished something important and I can sleep well knowing I did my best to help them achieve their goals.”
